Mandarin Orange Breakfast Bites Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 cup cold butter or margarine
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 (11 ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained and diced
TOPPING:
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted

Directions

In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. In another bowl, whisk the egg, milk and extract. Stir into crumb mixture just until moistened. Fold in oranges. Fill greased or paper-lined miniature muffin cups two-thirds full. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15-20 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks. Combine sugar and cinnamon. Dip tops of warm muffins in melted butter, then in cinnamon-sugar.

How To Make Apple Breakfast Bread

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
2 apples – peeled, cored and chopped

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease an 8×4 inch loaf pan.

In a bowl, mix the butter and sugar until smooth and creamy. Beat in the eggs.

In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and cloves. Mix into the butter mixture until moistened. Fold in the apples. Transfer to the prepared loaf pan.

Bake 1 hour in the preheated oven, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

Breakfast Wellington

Ingredients

1 pound ground sausage
1 (10 ounce) package chopped frozen broccoli, thawed
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
2 (8 ounce) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
1 egg white

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

Place sausage in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble and set aside.

Place thawed broccoli in a small saucepan, cover and cook over medium-low heat until tender, about 5 minutes.

In a large bowl, mix together sausage, broccoli, sour cream and cheese.

Place 1 package of crescent rolls flattened on a 9×13 inch baking dish. Cover with broccoli mixture. Place remaining crescent rolls on top of mixture and pinch seams to seal. Brush top with egg white.

Bake in preheated oven until golden brown, about 20 minutes.

Ingredients

  • Crisco® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray
  • 1 cup Pillsbury BEST® All Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 cup SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener, granulated
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons Crisco® Pure Canola Oil
  • 2 tablespoons skim milk
  • 1/2 cup Smucker's® Apricot Sugar Free
  • Preserves, plus additional for spreading on tops of muffins
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat 6 muffin cups with no-stick spray.
  2. Combine flour, SPLENDA® Granulated Sweetener, baking powder and salt in medium mixing bowl.
  3. Beat together egg, oil and milk. Blend in preserves and almond extract. Add to flour mixture and stir just until moistened. Fill muffin cups evenly with batter.
  4. Bake 20 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool. Spread tops with a thin layer of preserves before serving.

Breakfast Loaf Recipe

Ingredients

6 eggs, beaten
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 (1 pound) round French bread loaf
6 ounces thinly sliced deli ham, divided
3/4 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese, divided
3/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
1/2 medium red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 medium tomato, thinly sliced

Directions

In a small bowl, combine eggs, salt and pepper. Melt butter in a skillet; add eggs. Cook and stir until set; set aside. Cut the top fourth off loaf of bread. Carefully hollow out top and bottom, leaving a 1/2-in. shell. (Discard removed bread or save for another use.) Set top aside.

In bottom of bread, place a fourth of the ham. Layer with half of the Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese, red pepper, scrambled eggs and tomato slices. Top with the remaining cheese and ham. Gently press the layers together. Replace bread top and wrap tightly in foil. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25-30 minutes or until heated through. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting.
