Recipe For Strata with Breakfast Strips and Gorgonzola

Ingredients

  • 1 (1 pound) loaf French bread
  • 4 slices Morningstar Farms Veggie Bacon Strips
  • 6 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 3 1/4 cups 1% low-fat milk
  • 1 cup low-fat ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup crumbled Gorgonzola cheese (2 ounces)
  • 1/4-1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 1 3/4 cups finely chopped plum tomato
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried rosemary leaves
  • 1/4 cup finely shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cut bread into 1-inch-thick slices. Place bread on baking sheet and lightly toast. Set aside.
  2. Prepare MORNINGSTAR FARMS Veggie Breakfast Bacon Strips per package instructions. Cut into bite-size pieces.
  3. In medium bowl stir together eggs, milk, ricotta cheese, Gorgonzola cheese and red pepper.
  4. In small bowl combine tomato, onions and rosemary.
  5. In 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish coated with cooking spray arrange bread slices in single layer. Spoon tomato mixture evenly over bread slices. Sprinkle MORNINGSTAR FARMS Veggie Breakfast Bacon Strips over tomato mixture. Pour egg mixture over all. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  6. Cover and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.
  7. Bake, uncovered, at 350° F for 45 to 55 minutes or until set. Let stand for 10 minutes. Serve hot.

How To Make Breakfast Pizza I

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
  • 1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 cup frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Place sausage in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble and set aside. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. Brown sausage and drain. Separate crescent roll dough into 8 triangles. Place in an ungreased 12 inch pizza pan with points toward the center. Press together to form a crust. Bottom of crust should be sealed and outside edge should be slightly raised. Spoon sausage over crust. Sprinkle with hash browns and top with cheddar cheese.
  3. Beat together eggs, milk, salt and pepper; pour over crust. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
  4. Bake in preheated oven until eggs are set, about 25 to 30 minutes.

How To Make Mini Italian Breakfast Casseroles

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • Dash pepper
  • 1 bunch baby spinach, chopped
  • 4 slices ham
  • Grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Whisk eggs, milk, 1 Tbsp. cheese and pepper in medium bowl until blended. Add spinach; stir to mix.
  2. Line four greased 10-ounce ramekins or custard cups with ham, pressing against bottoms and sides. Divide egg mixture among ramekins; place in baking pan.
  3. Bake in center of 350 degrees F oven until custard is just set, about 20 minutes. Remove from oven; let stand 5 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese.

How To Make Breakfast Pizza

Ingredients

1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent rolls
1 pound bulk pork sausage
1 cup frozen shredded hash brown potatoes, thawed
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
3 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

Unroll crescent dough and place on a greased 12-in. pizza pan; press seams together and press up sides of pan to form a crust. In a skillet, brown sausage over medium heat; drain and cool slightly.

Sprinkle sausage, hash browns and cheddar cheese over crust. In a bowl, beat eggs, milk and pepper; pour over pizza. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Bake at 375 degrees for 28-30 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.

Three Cheese Breakfast Bake

Ingredients

1/2 (1 pound) loaf French bread, cut into 1 inch cubes
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/4 pound Swiss cheese, shredded
1/4 pound Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
2 cups diced cooked ham
8 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups milk
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
salt and pepper to taste
3/4 cup sour cream
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

Arrange bread in the bottom of a lightly greased medium baking dish, and drizzle with butter. Top with Swiss cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, and ham.

In a medium bowl, blend eggs, milk, and mustard. Season with salt and pepper. Pour into the baking dish. Cover, and refrigerate 8 hours, or overnight.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Blend sour cream and Parmesan cheese in a small bowl, and set aside.

Bake the layered mixture 1 hour in the preheated oven.

Spread sour cream mixture over the surface of the baked dish, and continue cooking about 10 minutes, until surface is lightly browned. Allow to sit about 15 minutes before serving.
